Nottingham Playhouse is recruiting a substantial chorus for its production of Coram Boy to be performed at The Albert Hall (ours not the London one) from the 6th to 10th August. I'm in that choir which is very short of blokes. I've been encouraged by the Producer to ask if any Oakies would be interested. The rehearsal schedule is quite demanding with availability needed on Thursday evenings 6-9 p.m. and most Saturdays 10-1.00. I've already established that it's understood that not everyone will be available every week (just as well really!).
The MD would welcome guys like us who already know about matching vowels, staggered breathing and stuff like that. He's a guy called Alex who is very enthusiastic and the Director is the excellent Adam Penford who has helped The Playhouse win the Regional Theatre Of The Year award.
If you think you might be interested have a chat with me and I'll tell you more! There's a link below that tells you more about the production.
