Oakie Dokie are all members of The Major Oak Chorus based in Nottingham. We first sang together as a quartet at a Movember ritual shave-off at The Worlds End, Lowdham, in November 2013. We have sung together regularly since in private and at a number of public performances, for example to a party hosted by The Lord Lieutenant of Nottingham at his home, Caunton Hall.
We sing songs from The Major Oak Chorus , as well as many songs of our own. We regularly perform at charity events as well as public events and also private and commercial functions.
We like to inject some fun into our performances, for instance we use a banana in our performance of the well know song "Java Jive" - you have to be there!

2024 is proving to be a successful year for the quartet. We have been placed first at the Lincoln, Mansfield and Derby Music Festivals and successfully competed in the National Barbershop Quartet competition where we were placed 8th in the Senior quartet group.
